OUR OBJECTIVES

Our main objective is to train graduates who will be able to advise policymakers, stakeholders and the general populace on issues pertaining to the safe application of molecular biology and biotechnology in agriculture, health, and the environment. 

Our specific objectives are:

1. To promote quality research in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology for increased agricultural productivity, improved health and sustainable use of genetic resources
2. To equip graduates with knowledge and skills to apply molecular biology and biotechnology techniques to reduce poverty and improve livelihoods.
3. To establish strong collaborations with both local and foreign institutions through research and exchange programmes to facilitate the transfer of technology.
